| Аннотація: | The processes of globalization, digitalization and technological advancement changed priorities of employers as for potential employees and the types of qualities they should have. Soft skills became the qualities of paramount importance for job seekers, among which we singled out the most appropriate: adaptability and flexibility, emotional intelligence, critical thinking and problem solving, communication skills, collaboration and teamwork, digital literacy. According to the results of our research the best period for their development is during higher education. Among the obligatory subjects we paid special attention to foreign language studies, in purposefully created conditions all of the mentioned softskills can be successfully formed. Under “purposefully created conditions” we mean organization of the study environment in the form of true to life communicative situations with tasks demanding critical thinking and problem solving. Teamwork with mutual interaction and equal roles for everyone contributes to both: development of foreign language competence and forming necessary soft skills. |
