| Summary: | The article discusses the need in a new model of intercultural language learning and teaching. Cultural references usually pose greater difficulties for translators than mere linguistic problems, since translators have to overcome cultural barriers. Communication is always culture-specific. We have to reach out to a new generation of translators who have unimagined opportunities for global conversations. |
